Lookalikes #6: Ted Croner album covers
Top right: Bob Dylan's Modern Times (2006); all other images from Luna's Penthouse CD (1995). Luna formed after the break up of Galaxie 500. If you like Galaxie 500, you'll like Luna. All images by Ted Croner, a key member of the New York School of photography in the 1940s and 50s. Yes, they're meant to be out of focus.

If I were Bob, I'd have a thing or two to say about that.
Private Eye, as you know, has been running a series on lookalike book covers in recent issues. It seems there's a serious lack of imagination out there.
But Luna's album came out like a decade before Bob's!
But you're right, certainly regarding books, there's a lack of imagination and originality.
I know that. I mean surely he'd have something to say about copying another artist's album cover - you know, he's BOB, BOB DYLAN...
I know. But he hasn't had a decent album cover since the 60s.
